Happy Independence Day!!

To all my friends, foreign and domestic, Happy Fourth of July!!!

To all who seek freedom, may God bless you, whether you fight demons
internal, or foes external, may you find Victory.

To those who defend my freedom, close to home, on the frontier, or in
lands far and wide, I give you my eternal gratitude and support. In
your name, I will vote for men and women who will honor your sacrifice
and dedication. I will pray for your families that they will be
protected while you are away.

The the men and women who have gone before, who gave their lives in
battle, I will try to honor your memory by fighting freedom where I
can.

I will vote in every election, I will write passionate letters and
argue for what is right. I will encourage free debate and and active
citizenship. I will donate my money, volunteer my time, and add my
voice to causes I believe in. I will cheer on any honest citizen who
joins the fray and encourage my friends to vote for the one they like,
even if it cancels my vote.

I will attend the Kiwanis club breakfast and clap when the PFLAG
float goes by. I will invite my neighbors to my home and introduce
them to each other. I will support community theatre, bad art,
reckless entertainment,

I will put my hand on heart when the flag comes by. I will sing the
anthem loudly and will know all the words, and I will even hit the
high notes. I will get a tear in my eye when they sing "God bless
America" and I will repeat that prayer every day:

God Bless America, Land that I love...
