Tomorrow starts Masturbation Month, a celebration of self-love, I wonder if Kleenex has explored sponsorship possibilities, there is money to be made.
I, for one, am going to play along. My goal will be simple, an orgasm every day. That's not a big deal for many, for some of my friends that would practically be abstinence, but I've been in a bit of a gratification funk as of late and it's time to ramp things back up. We talk about TMI, so maybe this is it, but I want to get back to the basics, to claim what's mine, to take that extra long shower, to lock the bedroom door, to "Be all that I can be."
If I get lucky enough for sex, than that counts, it's an orgasm a day, it is taking time for pleasure and making sure that I am getting enough of it. Priorities can come and go, we are busy, distracted, we let little things like sleep and eating get in the way of what is important.
But what gets you going? Like many men, I wake up hard and happy, swollen with the joy of a new day. Is that enough, or do you need something more?

We used to be all about the porn, and in fact we do look at porn sometimes when we're having sex or when we need a little visual stimulation for a quick orgasm. These days, though, especially since resuming our blog last summer, we find ourselves more likely to read a sexy blog post, or look at one of our friends' Moby albums. We are also likely to fantasize about people we know in real life, usually people with whom we don't have a physical relationship, though there are people we've had sex with in the past who occasionally pop up in our masturbation fantasies. Our fantasies tend to run the gamut from fairly vanilla to a bit more kinky if not actually taboo; for example, Jill's fantasies frequently involve other women, or more than one male partner.

Jack - I find that I can't really fantasize about celebrities, they are to distant, and I rarely masturbate while watching porn. I have an extensive fantasy life about my wife's friends and my trainer at the gym, however. Real women with real bodies, and voices that I know and love. Much better mojo there.
Luna - Last I check, laptops were portable and bedroom doors had locks, but I'm not sure how it's done on the East Coast. :-p I have to be very careful not to leave cookie crumbs behind, because as soon as I'm done, my curious 6 year old is right behind me at the computer.
