TMI - Right here, right now.

1. Are you wearing any jewelry? What?

The only jewelry I wear is my wedding ring.  I used to have an earring but took it out when I got my first “real” job.  I love watches, but hate wearing them, I don’t’ like body piercing on men, so there are no surprises when I drop my drawers, and I look silly with a nose ring.  So none of that either.

2. What are you listening to now?

This morning was SuperTramp for my morning walk, before that was my latest mix for the cycle class I no longer teach, and that started off with “Son of a Gun” by OH LAND.

3. What is the last piece of entertainment media (i.e., cd, download, book, DVD) that you purchased? Do you recommend it?

I haven’t bought a physical disc for a while, but I download a lot of teeny bopper crap for my daughter.  Luckily she’s in to pretty innocent, if painful, stuff, and not into heavy metal, rap, thug life, or Madonna.  I get most of my music for free from the KEXP “Song of the Day” podcast and the (checking iPod) KCRW “Top Tune” podcast.  I also listen to “The Kevin and Bean Show” out of LA on podcast since I’m not in the car during rush hour anymore.

As for books, I’m going through books on careers and some of my dad’s old WWII history books, so nothing too exciting there.  I did buy “The Watchmen” graphic novel last week and am looking forward to reading that.

4. What kind of undergarments are you wearing right now? Care to post a photo?

Today is a model of simplicity.  White Hanes boxers.  No picture’s promised.

5. What is your current mood?

I started the day (Monday, when I’m writing this) in a good mood, got a little irked with the wife, got out of that funk, had a great meeting with my Career coach who thinks I should become an independent consultant, then I talked with a dear friend, teased another into a puddle, and wrote three job applications along with cover letters while working in the library.

6. What is the best looking thing about you today?

My slowly vanishing belly, my once again visible jaw line, and the really, really, cute 20+ year old at the table next to me, who, when she bends over to write, flashes a wonderful tan line an adorable blue bra. (And she is sooo adorable when she smiles)  And, I’m in new jeans and dress shoes and dress shirt, a look I’m starting to like.

7. Fill in the blank. Tonight I’m looking forward MONDAY NIGHT,.  I’ve needed Monday night all weekend.  Oh, and Wednesday we are going out for Indian food for lunch.

Bonus: Tell me something good…On Monday I deepened a friendship and I think I’m starting to get excited about going it on my own for business.  I’m smart, personable, well dressed, I have almost all my own teeth, and I don’t scratch myself in public unless appropriate.  I also am starting to make eye contact with the cutie at the next table.  Nothing will happen, but I can live a long time on a good smile.

You are in my neighborhood! I listen to KCRW, and sometimes Kevin and Bean. Unfortunately I am on the freeway during rush hour, for a few miles.

Good fortune on your new business venture!

Thanks for the podcast recommendation! We'll check them out. First time reading Watchmen? It's one of my favorites; I try to read it once a year.

Your bonus answer was awesome. Well done.

Monkey - We'll have to do lunch some time. HA HA HA .....

J&J - I love the music I get for free so very very much, and, as predicted, nothing happened with the cutie at the next table, but I did get a wonderful smile as she walked away.
