A simple assignment

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

The assignment was simple,
“Write your favorite poem from the Tao-Te-Ching in a calligraphy style of your choosing.
Explain your choice of canvas, pen, and ink and the history of each.”

No problem

I was a senior art major, with a boyfriend and job all lined up after graduation.
Together for 2 years, Daryl was safe, reliable, decent in bed, from a good family.

Rachel waved to me after class, made small talk, then asked about the assignment.
We discussed options, then she blushed, leaned in, and whispered an idea.

Her apartment was warm, clean, sparse, but full of her style, it was hers 100%.

She offered me a beautiful pink silk robe and, blushing, directed me to the bathroom.  When I stepped out, we were both naked under the silks.

Charlie, do you consent to act as my canvas?

Yes

She took my hand and led me to the couch, covered in a sheet. She stood in front of me and removed my robe,
exposing me, my nipples hardened.

Now me, she whispered.

I touched her for the first time, my fingertips easing the silk from her frame until it puddled on the floor.
I fought to catch my breath.

She asked me to lay back, I did.

She asked me to spread, I did

I would do anything for her soft voice and gentle brush that felt like a warm dry tongue on my bare skin.

I spread ever wider for her, inviting her gaze, her strokes, the touch of her brush without shame or restraint.

Edging, painting, writing, creating art and orgasms in equal measure.

Poetry indeed.
